Graduation photoshoot Hanoi: edited photos explained

By the Hanoi Photoshoot team · 2026-11-06

At Hanoi Photoshoot by Cáo Studio, a standard graduation session (2–3 hours) yields 80–120 edited photos; half-day shoots often reach 150+. "Edited" means color-grading, skin retouching, background refinement and cropping—not raw files. We deliver JPEGs at print-ready resolution within 14–21 days. Count includes multiple outfit changes, location moves and posed + candid frames. Final quantity depends on your chosen session length and how many outfit/location combinations you want; ask us for a quote on WhatsApp to confirm your specific package. Avoid assuming all frames are "keeper" quality—we select and edit the best takes, so fewer photos of higher standard is our approach, not volume-for-volume promises. Check dates on WhatsApp

How many photos does a typical session actually produce?

Session length is the main driver. A 2-hour shoot with one outfit and one location typically yields 60–80 edited images; 3 hours with two outfits and two locations reaches 100–130. Half-day (4 hours) packages often deliver 150+. We shoot in RAW, then edit 70–85% of the take (the rest are duplicates, blinks or out-of-focus). Our in-house makeup and styling team sets up fast, so location changes happen every 45 minutes, multiplying your frame count naturally without padding.

What does "edited" actually mean here?

Edited means color correction, skin smoothing, shadow and highlight balance, background cleanup and composition refinement—not AI upscaling or fantasy filters. Each photo is individually adjusted for Hanoi's humid, inconsistent light (bright midday sun, golden-hour softness, diffused temple interiors). We do not apply one-click presets; every image matches your skin tone and the season's light. Unedited RAW files are not included; we deliver JPEGs at 300 DPI for printing and 72 DPI web versions. Retouching removes temporary blemishes and sweat, not your face—expect natural, honest results.

Why does editing take 2–3 weeks?

Each photo is individually white-balanced, color-graded and retouched by hand. Hanoi's light changes hour-by-hour (harsh sun 11 a.m.–2 p.m., soft golden hour 5–6 p.m., dim temple interiors), so your 100 photos may need 100 different edits. We prioritize graduation photoshoot sessions and deliver in 14–21 days depending on order volume; peak season (May–June, November) may extend to 3 weeks. Rush delivery is available—ask us for a quote on WhatsApp. Faster turnaround often means less-detailed retouching, so allow full time if possible.

Most clients choose 100–120 edited photos: enough variety for albums, slideshows and social media without overwhelming the selection process. More photos mean more locations and outfit combinations, which requires longer sessions and boosts the quote. Fewer photos suit clients who want one polished, curated set rather than options.

Hanoi's light and its impact on photo count

Shooting in Hanoi's humidity and heat means outdoor sessions work best 6–7 a.m. (cool, soft) or 5–6 p.m. (golden hour, clear shadows). Midday sun (11 a.m.–2 p.m.) is harsh and creates heavy shadows under eyes—we shoot indoors or in shade, cutting your frame rate slightly because posing takes longer. Temple interiors (Hoan Kiem Lake area, Old Quarter pagodas) are dim; we use reflectors and higher ISOs, so you get fewer sharp frames per minute but moody, atmospheric results. Rainy season (May–September) offers diffused light and fewer tourists, speeding up shooting and editing. Choose your session time and season carefully—off-peak early morning yields more usable shots than peak-sun midday.

Photo delivery and file types

We deliver JPEGs on a secure link (Google Drive or Dropbox). You receive full-resolution web JPEGs (72 DPI, ~2–3 MB each) immediately, and print-ready JPEGs (300 DPI) within 5–10 business days. RAW files are not included in standard packages; if you're a photographer or designer, ask us for a quote on WhatsApp for a RAW add-on. All photos are yours to print, share on social media and use commercially (within reason—no resale as stock). Edited photos are not available for partial download; you receive all or schedule a follow-up edit.

FAQ

Can I request a specific number of edited photos?

You can request a session length and outfit/location count, which naturally drives the final count. Longer sessions and more changes yield more photos. We won't artificially inflate numbers—expect 30–50 photos per hour of shooting after culling and editing.

What if I don't like the editing style?

We match your preferences in a pre-shoot chat on WhatsApp. Show us reference photos of color grades and retouching you prefer. If final edits don't match your vision, we'll make one round of global adjustments (e.g., warmer tones, less skin smoothing) for all photos at no cost. Major re-edits beyond one round are subject to an edit fee—ask us for a quote on WhatsApp.

Do I get RAW files, or just JPEGs?

Standard packages include edited JPEGs only. RAW files are available as an add-on; ask us for a quote on WhatsApp. RAWs let photographers and designers edit further, but they require Adobe Lightroom or similar software and are not organized or color-corrected.

How long until I see a preview or sample photos?

We deliver your full edited gallery within 14–21 days. We do not provide partial previews or proofs—the entire edited set is ready together. Rush delivery is available; ask us for a quote on WhatsApp if you have a deadline.

Can I use edited photos on Instagram, TikTok and printed materials?

Yes. All edited photos are yours to use commercially, including resale as prints or merchandise (within reason—no stock-photo resale). Watermarks are not applied. Credit to Hanoi Photoshoot by Cáo Studio is appreciated but not required.

What happens if I want more photos after delivery?

If you want additional shots from the same shoot (e.g., different crops or more retouching), we offer a select-and-edit add-on. Request specific frames or angles on WhatsApp with your date, and we'll quote you an editing fee based on the number of new selections.
